½ cup softened butter ¼ cup sugar ¼ cup packed brown sugar 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt 1 egg 1 tbsp milk 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups flour Preserves In large bowl beat butter. Add sugars, baking powder and salt. Beat egg, milk and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in remaining flour. Shape dough into ¾ inch balls, place onto ungreased cookie sheet and press thumb into each ball. (Leave 2 inches between cookies.) Bake at 375 for 7-9 minutes. Transfer to wire rack and fill with preserves while warm. |
