From Woman’s Home Companion Cookbook Cider, 2 quarts Brown sugar, 2/3 cup Salt, ¼ teaspoon Whole Cloves, 6 Whole Allspice, 6 Cinnamon, 4 sticks Combine all ingredients in saucepan; place over low heat, bring to boiling point and simmer for 5 minutes; strain. Serve hot in cups or earthenware mugs. Makes 10 to 12 servings. |
